Ardhanaree - A dance duet

Ardhanaree  (half male, half female) is the concept of Shiva-Shakti sharing the same physical form. It symbolizes the basic principle of creation that includes both male and female energies. Vidushi Megha P. Rao brings forth the many different ways in which this duality is experienced in our lives. Be it the metaphysical relationship between the male and female energies (Ardhanareeshwara krithi), or the relationship between a master and his disciple (Nandhi alarippu), or the duality and oneness of a couple (Varnam), or the relationship between parents and their children (Ganesha Pancharatnam and Sindhu Bhairavi thillana).

This event was made possible by grants from the Walton Family Foundation and CACHE. We thank all our individual sponsors whose support helps us sustain these activities in our community.

How to Watch: A Family ticket costs $20. Please consider donating too. Receive a Zoom link for the show timing you want. Connect your device to the tv and watch on a large screen to enjoy the dance best.
