Kathak Instructor and Program Coordinator
Radha Varadan is an NC-raised, DC-based dance artist, Radha fell in love with Kathak at the age of seven. She began her training in the Jaipur gharana under Guru Neena Jha, and currently continues her journey in the Lucknow gharana under the tutelage of Sri Prashant Shah, critically acclaimed performer, choreographer, teacher, and senior disciple of Padma Bhushan Smt. Kumudini Lakhia.
Radha is a principal dancer with her guru’s performing company, Prashant Shah and Dancers, and has performed extensively across the United States, India, and Europe. She was named one of North Carolina’s 2019 Faces of Exchange, and was the subject of the award winning short film, Who I Am, acclaimed at the 2019 Full Frame Film Festival.
Additionally, Radha received training in ballet and modern dance from the International Ballet Academy, and is pursuing degrees in both International Affairs and Post-modern dance at the George Washington University.
