My grandmother cultivated my interest in music, dance and art in my childhood days and took me to all sorts of events in India. I grew up watching all performances in India and gained little bits of knowledge of dance and music. I would like to provide the same exposure to my kids and attended "Sargam" events in NorthWest Arkansas which are organized by Srividya Venkatasubramanya. Sargam, now the Ra-Ve cultural foundation, promotes Indian art and culture in NorthWest Arkansas.
I joined Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation (RVCF) as the Community Outreach Coordinator. I have organized a few events in NorthWest Arkansas and have also promoted Ibiyinka Alao the U.N. Ambassador of Art's 100-foot painting at Kalaloka Institute of Fine Arts (KIFA) in Bentonville. I also have a Masters in Finance Management from Loyola College in Chennai, India. |
